Have you ever wanted to do this or do that but then sat back down in your chair and thought I’ll start a yoga practice, go to the gym, go for walk, or start juicing another day? Those nasty old beliefs can get in our way of starting and maintaining a new exercise regime, eating healthy, or implementing new ways to help reduce stressful emotions.
To me, self-care means…… Move Your Body. Eat Healthy. Tend to Your Emotions.
So many people feel guilty for putting themselves first in making the time to move the body, invest in healthier eating habits and invest in better managing their emotions. Can you see how not doing this shows up in our lives; broken relationships, illness, chronic pain, feeling stuck, feeling deflated, the list goes on…
What many people don’t know is that very often there are negative belief patterns, which we are unconsciously carrying around with us everyday. They are a part of our programming which affects our lifestyle and behavioural patterns, in which many people do not even know they have.
This negative or limiting programming shows up in our subconscious belief patterns, such as I am not good enough, I am not worthy, I am not deserving, I am not important – do any of these resonate with you? I sure had to work through a few of these myself over the past four years. The thing is, I didn’t even know I had these beliefs about myself until I started using Emotional Freedom Techniques, then I began to realize why I felt so hopeless and stuck. This powerful technique helped me to uncover them and either neutralize these limiting beliefs or release them altogether, allowing me then to get off the couch, make healthier food choices and start living life to the fullest.
If you know of anyone who finds it challenging to get up and get moving, implement healthier foods in their meals or are looking for effective ways to manage and reduce stress in their life – or maybe it’s you, who could use some support in these areas, please feel free to share my blog or contact me. By tending to the weeds in our garden, which very often consists of unconscious belief patterns about ourselves and our place in the world (these same patterns that are holding us back from doing what we want to do and need to do for the benefit of our own well-being), we can quickly uncover and tend to these belief patterns that are very often holding us back from living life the way we want too. We will then begin to plant new seeds in our gardens and start to revel in a fresh new way of thinking, feeling and believing about ourselves – then look out and watch your flowers and gardens grow in a way you never thought possible!
Self-care………. Move Your Body. Eat Healthy. Tend to Your Emotions. Are you willing and open to finally releasing the negative belief patterns and perhaps guilty emotions and start putting your own well-being first? Self-care is not selfish. Self-care is necessary. Your body and soul will love you for it! You deserve to live a healthy and fulfilled life! You ARE worth it! #selfcare #selfrespect #youaregoodenough #investinyourself #emotionalfreedomtechnqiues
